A Debt Recovery Paralegal is required for this full service legal 200 law firm based in central Birmingham. Hybrid work is available after the probation period.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a focus on providing outstanding service to their clients, will be confident with IT, and will be capable of working under their own initiative (albeit, naturally, with appropriate supervision).

Responsibilities for the Debt Recovery Paralegal role

• Manage a portfolio of defended and disputed accounts from initial query through to resolution.
• Review evidence, draft legal documentation, and assess case prospects.
• Prepare court documents including defences, witness statements, applications, consent orders, and pre‑action correspondence.
• Liaise directly with clients to provide advice on case strategy, settlement negotiations, and evidential requirements.
