The Cytotechnologist Senior performs the duties of a technical trainer in the cytology laboratory. This job assists the supervisor in training, scheduling and assigning duties appropriate to each cytotechnologist, coordinating of quality control procedures, troubleshooting, maintenance of procedure manuals, training and documentation of method evaluations and inventory control in his/her primary areas of responsibility. This job performs In Situ Hybridization techniques; assists on deep Fine Needle aspiration (FNA) and Ultrasound GuidedFine needle Aspiration (US-FNA), examines cell samples and makes primary diagnoses on all cases (GYN, Non-gyn and FNA, makes final diagnoses on normal limit GYN, preliminary diagnoses on abnormal GYN, all Non-gyn and FNA.
