Customer Representative Specialist

The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is hiring temporary Customer Representative Specialists to work 8 am–5 pm Monday through Thursday at the following locations:

• Augusta – 1 position
• Bangor – 2 positions
• Kennebunk – 1 position
• Lewiston – 1 position
• Portland – 1 position
• Scarborough – 1 position
• Springvale – 1 position
• Topsham – 1 position

Pay: $19.76 per hour.

Typical Duties

• Assist customers with motor vehicle registrations, driver licenses and permits, State IDs (including Real ID), voter registrations, license plates, handicap placards, and title applications.
• Review legal documentation to verify residency, legal presence, insurance coverage, and eligibility requirements.
• Explain motor vehicle laws, rules, regulations, and bureau policies to the public.
