Critical Care Advanced Practice Providers (APP) are Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) at Woodbridge, VA - Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. This position is for a nocturnist full time coverage of NICU and delivery service with a neonatology back up available from home for delivery of mutliples or very low birth weight infants.
The critical care APP is credentialed by the medical staff and functions within their scope of practice in their jurisdictional area and in accordance with organizational medical staff bylaws. They are responsible for providing evidenced-based care for the management of patients, including assessment, implementation and evaluation of a detailed plan of care, which incorporates diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
