This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating switch crews in the movement and placement of rail cars in a rail yard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees the work assigned to the crew ensuring that it is completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing performance input.

Operate electric, diesel-electric, or gas-turbine-electric locomotives.

Interpret train orders, signals, and rules and regulations.
