The successful candidate
will have the following qualifications: Master's degree in counselling; strong classroom management skills; recent successful experience working with students at secondary level; knowledge and understanding of the cultural values, traditions, and language of the Kwak'wala speaking peoples – Indigenous ancestry preferred;the ability to work closely with staff in a team oriented approach to teaching and learning; strong formative assessment practices; knowledge and experience working with students with exceptionalities; training and experience in CPI, Threat Assessment, Crisis Response and Suicide Risk Assessment; successful experience liaising with parents, school-based teams, external agencies, and community-based professionals and coordinating SEL interventions using a multi-agency approach; strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills; experience with RTI (Response to Intervention) systems; strong interest...
