Summary The Office of Inspector General is an independent and objective office within the Environmental Protection Agency, charged with helping the EPA meet its mission of protecting human health and the environment. Through our audits, evaluations, and investigations, we promote the economy and effectiveness of, and detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse related to, the EPA's programs and operations, as well as ensure ethical conduct at the EPA. Responsibilities As Counsel to the Inspector General, you will: Serve as Counsel to the Inspector General, providing the full range of legal and advisory services with respect to policy, regulations, practices, or other matters falling broadly within the Office's mission.
