JOB SUMMARY:
Costume Stitcher I’s are costume artisans responsible for assembling costumes and performing advanced alterations on costume pieces for all venues, marquee events and special events under the guidance of First Hands, Lead Fabricators, and other managerial supervision. Costume Stitcher I’s should be proficient in hand sewing and machine sewing on both domestic and industrial machines. Some work may require contact with silicone, latex, wool, fur, and other allergens.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Sews costumes from material goods to full completion, including all closures and finishing. Can work independently on basic projects and under the supervision of a lead or supervisor for complex projects. Costumes may require using finesse to create complex costumes with spandex/stretch fabrics, silks/synthetic chiffons and satins, furs and fleeces, leathers/vinyl, and engineered fabrics.
