Position Overview
We are hiring: Project Cost Engineer – Body Systems (Automotive) We are seeking to identify three Project Cost Engineers to join the Body team supporting a leading global OEM. This role focuses on cost estimation, analysis, and optimization across key body and exterior vehicle systems.
Technical Scope - Exterior (fascia, spoiler)
- Body in White (BIW)
- Lighting and/or Sealing, Glazing, Mechanisms
- Develop detailed should-cost models for body and exterior components and assemblies
- Perform bottom-up cost analysis including materials, labor, overhead, scrap, tooling, and logistics
- Analyze manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, painting, plastic injection molding, extrusion, and assembly to identify cost drivers
