Position Overview
The Cost Accountant is responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting cost-related data to support operational and financial decision-making. This includes tracking and evaluating the cost of operations such as fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, parts inventory, driver payroll, and route efficiency. The role ensures accurate cost allocation, supports budgeting processes, and contributes to overall cost control and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Tracking & Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report all related costs, including fuel, labor, maintenance, equipment, and admin expenses.
- Identify Inefficiencies: Identify areas where operations can be improved and costs can be reduced.
- Decision-Making: Provide accurate and timely information to support decisions, such as investments (acquisitions of assets) or changes to/additional service offerings.
