About the Organization

The AI Robot Association (AIRoA) is a non-profit organization established in 2024 to accelerate the social implementation of AI robotics.
Funded with JPY 20.5 billion (approx. USD 130 million) from NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), AIRoA leads a national-scale project to develop foundational AI models and promote Japan’s leadership in the global AI robotics industry.

AIロボット協会（AIRoA）は、AIロボティクスの社会実装を加速させることを目的として2024年に設立された非営利団体です。NEDO （新エネルギー・産業技術総合開発機構）から205億円（約1億3000万米ドル）の資金提供を受け、AI基盤モデルの開発と、世界のAIロボティクス産業における日本のリーダーシップ強化を目的とした国家規模のプロジェクトを主導しています。
