Position Overview
**Job Description:**
Under supervision, prepares and cooks food.
**Scope**
+ Reviews menus daily to determine quantities of food and supplies needed.
+ Prepares food for cafeteria, patient food service and catering using creativity, quality, consistency, and promptness.
+ Follow and comply with recipe standards.
+ Monitors and replenishes food as needed for cafeteria, catering, or patient trays.
+ Ensures food is being handled and stored to Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
+ Operates various types of kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness. Records temperatures of refrigerators. Ensures equipment is in good working condition.
+ Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
