£55,000–£65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Call-Out Payment

I’m working with an engineering-led automation business delivering bespoke material handling and automation systems across the UK.

One thing that stood out to me about this role is that they seem to have a fairly realistic approach to controls engineering. The travel is planned upfront, mostly UK based and typically involves 2–3 planned site phases a year rather than endless last-minute trips and permanently living away from home.

The role covers the full controls lifecycle, including:

PLC and HMI development (Siemens and/or Rockwell)

Commissioning, testing and fault finding

FAT, SAT and customer handover

Ongoing support and system improvement work
