Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Controller to oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax support for multiple Canadian and U.S. entities in the real estate sector. This role requires strong ASPE knowledge, hands-on accounting experience, and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Review bookkeeping and accounting records for multiple entities, ensuring opening balances are supported and compliant with ASPE.Reconcile opening balances prepared by property management companies and investigate discrepancies using supporting documents.Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure cash and intercompany transactions are accurately recorded.Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including HST and payroll, and ensure accounts are ready for year-end tax preparation.<...
