Description
Robert Half is seeking an experienced Controller to support the CFO in strengthening and organizing the financial operations of a private family office in Glen Cove (Nassau County). This role will focus on addressing historical accounting gaps, improving processes, and establishing timely and accurate financial reporting. This is an immediate, high-impact long term assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Partner with the CFO to clean up and organize financial records across multiple entities.
+ Maintain and update accounting records within QuickBooks.
+ Support and drive a timely and accurate month-end close process.
+ Identify and resolve historical discrepancies, unreconciled accounts, and data inconsistencies.
+ Assist with federal and state tax filings, including addressing any outstanding or prior-year items.
