Summary About the Position: The U.S. Army Contracting Command was established on March 14, 2008. The mission of the ACC is to oversee more than $85 billion in contracts annually and focus on maintaining and improving the Army's ability to respond globally in support of the warfighter's needs. Responsibilities Serve as Procuring Contracting Officer to approve/execute contract actions. Perform senior technical authority for assigned procurements to ensure regulatory compliance. Respond to pre-award inquiries to resolve questions. Maintain contact with contractors to monitor progress. Develop Justification and Approval document for review. Analyze bids and proposals for conformance with the solicitation. Monitor assigned work to ensure efficiency of procurement team. Review procurement data packages to assign to appropriate specialist for action.
