An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant General Radiologist with subspecialty interest in gynaecological imaging to join the existing team of 50 radiologists at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. Additional subspecialty interests are also welcomed. This post will be based at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHPNT), primarily Derriford Hospital, commencing at a time of significant developments within the trust.

Main duties of the job

Derriford Hospital is a major trauma centre hosting regional specialist units such as renal transplant, complex urology, andrology, hepatobiliary surgery, hepatology, paediatrics, cardiothoracics and neurosurgery. The trust has secured core funding for a fully NHS‑owned Community Diagnostic Centre with CT, MRI, plain film and ultrasound suites, opening in December 2025, which will provide dedicated consultant office and reporting space in a purpose‑built city‑centre environment.
