Position Summary

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist in Prenatal and Perinatal Mental Health to provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions during preconception, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based, and family-centered care in line with DHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and management for women pre‑pregnancy, during pregnancy, and postpartum
• Diagnose and treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and psychosis
• Manage complex cases involving psychotropic medication use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Conduct risk assessments, crisis intervention, and safety planning for high‑risk mothers
