This post has been created to augment the paediatric haematology service at Kingβs College Hospital and Princess Royal Hospitals. Referrals to the service have increased markedly in the past 5 years and there is a comprehensive haemoglobinopathy outreach service to paediatric units in the region. Paediatric Haematology works closely with the national liver service, the neonatal unit, neurosurgical unit and PICU/HDU and is also a referral centre for general haematology conditions in the region. The post will suit a paediatric haematologist with an interest in benign paediatric haematology, bone marrow failure and shared-care paediatric haemato-oncology.
Main duties of the job
