About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Cardiologist to provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care across the Northland region. Based in Whangārei, the role involves travelling to and working from our rural hospitals as needed.

The team includes advanced trainees, registrars, nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists working alongside specialists. Whangārei Hospital has an on‑site cardiac catheter lab performing coronary intervention and provides cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, transthoracic echocardiogram (including TOE and stress echo), as well as well‑developed heart failure and cardiac rehab services. Pacing and device clinics cover the region, though implants are currently undertaken in Auckland.
