Position Overview
Experience hands-on engineering with a Construction Internship at Rio Tintoβs Diavik Diamond Mine. This rotational position invites students to broaden their field experience from September through April.
As a Construction Field Intern, you will work under the guidance of project professionals in a diverse environment. The role includes surveying and conducting quality control for substantial earthworks, with two-week rotations that allow for comprehensive learning and involvement in active projects. Travel to the site from Yellowknife or Edmonton is arranged.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Execute quantity surveys and ensure quality of construction
β’ Coordinate with engineers and operations personnel
β’ Promote site safety and control surveys efficiently
β’ Track equipment and labor productivity with PITRAM
β’ Engage in earthworks project supervision
