**Position Objective:** Provide services as a Computer Scientist in support of the overall functions of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This role will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Perform software development to include the definition of subsystem interface specifications, software modeling and implementing the software design. **1**
+ Apply the techniques of parallel computing to computationally intensive tasks that are encountered in biomedical applications.
