Job Description
The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. The Department of Youth and Community Development’s Comprehensive Afterschool System of NYC (COMPASS) formerly known as the Out-of-School Time Program is comprised of over 800 programs serving young people enrolled in grades K-12.
Program Managers monitor and provide support to the COMPASS portfolio of youth programs. A primary focus of their monitoring is ensuring the DYCD funded agencies are following all required health and safety protocols. The COMPASS initiative provides childcare services to low income working families across New York City during the school year, school holidays and summer months.
