Ambulance Communications Center – Call Taker
The Call Taker is responsible for handling all incoming calls to our EMS Communications Center. A desirable candidate will have knowledge of Medical Terminology and Customer Service experience. Candidate must have excellent communication and data entry skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Receive emergency and non-emergency requests for ambulance and medicar (wheelchair van) transportation.
+ Properly screen telephone calls and electronic communications.
+ Data entry.
+ HIPAA Compliance.
+ Ability to make decisions consistent with policy and guidelines.
+ Ability to think logically and quickly during an emergency.
