Are you ready to join a dynamic team in the heart of Queensland’s mining industry? SGS is looking for a motivated Coal Technician to support our operations in Bowen on a casual basis. This role is key to ensuring coal and related samples are prepared and analysed accurately and on time, in line with international standards.
What you’ll do:
Follow correct procedures for sampling, recording, preparation, analysis, storage, and reporting of coal and related materials.Assist with preventative maintenance of preparation equipment.Work safely, maintaining a safety-aware environment at all times.Use basic CCLAS to book in samples and perform analyses.Carry out routine shipping and exploration project sampling, preparation, and analysis.Plan shift workflows and coordinate sample pick-ups and analyses.Support various areas across testing, sampling, and analytical operations.
