Position Overview

Job Summary

The City of Mississauga is hiring three co-op students for the Compliance and Licensing section who are responsible for enforcement of City by-laws by interpreting the by-laws and communicating these to the general public. These positions require you to work Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm. 35 hours a week.

Duties and Responsibilities


• Ensure a high degree of service for both internal and external customers in accordance with City standards
• Enforcement of regulatory By-laws focused on, but not limited to: Nuisance Weed and Tall Grass Control ByLaw, Debris and Anti-Littering By-Law and The Property Standards By-Law
• Attend properties to investigate complaints, generating detailed notes and collecting photographs and other evidence as required
