Coordinate with Design department to create post and transfer programs for CNC machining to carry out the job as per the given drawing / specifications. Work with production personnel to select and maintain production tooling.
Ensure efficient and profitable operation of the defined work center by optimum usage of tools consumables etc.
Write instruction sheets and tool lists for the machines operator in order to guide setup and provide programs for Machines.
Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs & machinery will function properly to produce items that meet specifications & achieve the quality requirements of the product.
Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine within capabilities controls or control media as required to insure quality of productions. Reports all machine malfunctions to the Supervisor.
