About the Role:
The CNC Machinist, also known as CNC Operator or CNC Programmer, is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production efficiency by maintaining tight tolerances, ensuring quality standards, and troubleshooting machining processes during second shift operations.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes to meet production targets
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Make programming adjustments and tool offsets to maintain dimensional tolerances
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices
