To work as a precision engineer operates special-purpose equipment & machines to manufacture components and parts. To accomplish this, the engineer will need to read technical manuals, specifications to determine dimensions & tolerances of finished parts. He is also able to program CAD/CAM for machining programs and the parts settingβup requirements. Another critical aspect of the job involves detecting faults and making adjustments on the machines to ensure they operate smoothly; and being able to select, align and secure the holders, fixtures, tooling automation, accessories and materials. Continually to make improvements and be productive in a team.
