The Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) is a fast paced and dynamic department at the John Radcliffe Hospital, caring for patients with a wide range of emergency general surgical conditions, covering upper and lower gastrointestinal, and hepatobiliary specialties. The unit has in-patient beds across ward areas and a Emergency Triage that receives patients referred directly by GP, the Emergency Department , paramedic referrals or out-patient clinics. The Ambulatory area sits as part of Triage but sees patients who return daily to receive consultant led care.
Main duties of the jobΒ To undertake routine care for patients of all genders and to assist them with their personal care needs. (This may involve maintaining hygiene needs for individuals such as helping patients to wash and dress themselves and assisting with toileting needs, maintaining privacy and dignity at all times).
