The Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist III (CSRT III) role allows a pathway for Advanced Practice Radiation Therapy (APRT) competency development and certification. To become a highly competent practitioner with advanced knowledge, skills, and judgment permitting autonomous clinical practice in the management of cancer patients, the individual will work towards APRT certification under the mentorship of a Radiation Oncologists(s). As a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the CSRT III is responsible to provide comprehensive assessment, and referral of patients within and external to Cancer Care Alberta (CCA), as well as technical evaluation of all aspects of treatment delivery with a focus on ensuring continuity of care from consult to follow up within a mentored environment.
