The Practice Development Team (PDT) aims to foster an environment that encourages learning and the enhancement of clinical skills, recognizing that professional development continues beyond initial registration.
The individual in this position will function in a supernumerary capacity within clinical settings for 80% of their time, working alongside both qualified and unqualified nursing staff to provide direct care while assisting in skill development and on-site learning programs, as well as helping staff achieve their competencies.
Collaboration with the broader education team, practice development nurses, ward managers, and other essential personnel will be key to supporting the training, delivery, and assessment of competencies in line with the multiprofessional preceptorship program.
