**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, a CLS III (Section Head) plans, coordinates and directs activities for responsible section (Chemistry, Microbiology, etc) and directs the implementation of new procedures. Also provides technical assistance and training of laboratory personnel.

**This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.**

**Job Requirements**

+ Three (3) years clinical laboratory experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist
+ Minimum two (2) years of experience in section of specialty
+ California Medical Technologist license (LIC CLS)

**Special Skills:**

+ Extensive knowledge of principles, procedures and techniques of clinical laboratory analysis especially in section of responsibility.
