Clinical Haematology Nurse Specialist Interest in Sickle Cell Disease

Based in the Royal Bolton Hospital Clinical Haematology service, the post holder will provide expert, patient‑centred nursing care to patients living with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), supporting their physical, psychological and social needs. The post holder will act as a clinical specialist, educator and advocate, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and enhance quality of life.

Main duties of the job

• Manage a defined caseload, including assessment, care planning, treatment, follow‑up, and ongoing monitoring
• Deliver advanced clinical care, including support during acute crises, chronic disease management, and emergency response where needed
