Cleaning Operative – Hospitality & Catering

Location: Lancaster | Part time, 18.5 hours per week | Salary: £24,521 per annum (Pro Rata, Term Time Only).

Responsibilities

The Cleaning Operative will undertake daily cleaning tasks in professional kitchens and catering facilities, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. Duties include:

• Cleaning and maintaining specialised equipment.
• Safe storage and disposal of materials.
• Organising linen and laundry.
• Keeping cleaning and food safety records up to date.
• Working closely with tutors, colleagues, and learners.
• Reporting hazards, defects, or concerns promptly and ensuring health & safety requirements are met.
