Civil Design Engineer Department: Engineering Reports To: Director of Engineering Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Position Summary The Civil Design Engineer will support the development, design, and execution of large-scale solar PV projects within an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment.
This role focuses on the civil and site engineering aspects of utility-scale solar projects—from conceptual design and permitting through detailed construction documents and as-built closeout.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site layout, with the ability to integrate engineering principles into efficient, constructible, and cost-effective solar designs.
