What is the job role?
As a Children and Family Worker within the Fostering Service, you will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. You will be a key person within the fostering family’s network, offering essential support services, advice, training, and strategies to manage the needs of children in care.
You will work in partnership and empower children and young people with complex needs, and their families, to sustain positive behaviour changes. You will act as a Key Worker with case-management responsibilities to coordinate and plan integrated, intensive family support.
You will provide appropriate assessments and support to children and young people with complex needs and experience of trauma, their families or carers.
You will deliver individual and group work programmes to children, young people and their families in a range of settings.
