- Responsibilities
- Within delegated authority, the Chief, Security Information and Operations Cell (SIOC) may be responsible for the following duties: - Serves as Adviser to the Designated Official and/or Head of Mission, and to United Nations Security Management System organizations on all security risk management matters, security policy and procedures. - Serves as a member of the Security Management Team. - Chairs the Security Cell, building consensus to ensure alignment and support for security operations and initiatives to best enable UN activities. - Ensures forecasting of the evolving security environment and, the UN’s security and operational responses.
