I am currently partnered with a start-up Biotech looking to bring on a part-time freelance Chief Medical Officer to accelerate their pipeline into the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical development strategy from IND to early-phase trials
• Provide medical and scientific leadership in endocrinology & diabetes
• Oversee regulatory interactions, clinical trial design, and safety monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, key opinion leaders, and investors
• Represent the company in scientific, regulatory, and investor discussions

Requirements

• MD with board certification in endocrinology (highly preferred)
• Experience in early clinical development (IND to Phase 2)
• Strong knowledge of regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA, etc.)
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
• Previous experience serving as CMO.
