The Chief Information Security Officer establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the information systems and security function, overseeing the creation, development, enforcement, and maintenance of policies and procedures, selecting and implementing new IT and security technologies, providing strategic direction for the organization’s technical infrastructure and security (including hardware, software, servers, databases, storage solutions, networks, audiovisual equipment or physical facilities) in support of critical district business needs; creating information security training programs and managing potential team personnel.
