Position Overview
The role of a Chief Geotechnical Expert in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority Orange Gate Tunnel Project is highly critical because the project involves deep underground tunneling beneath dense urban infrastructure, railway lines, metro corridors, utilities, and coastal geology conditions. The tunnel is one of Mumbai’s most complex underground infrastructure projects, stretching between Orange Gate and Marine Drive.
Lead detailed geotechnical investigations including borehole studies, rock and soil sampling, laboratory testing, and geological mapping. Assess soil strata, rock quality, groundwater conditions, fault zones, and marine geology conditions. Review and approve Geotechnical Baseline Reports (GBR) and Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIR).
