We are looking for someone to lead our busy kitchen at a small hotel in Darien as the Chef Manager. Restaurant experience is a must. Cooking ability and experience required as well. Managerial/supervisory experience necessary. We serve breakfast, lunch & dinner 7 days a week about 350 days a year. Groups range from 10 to 150 guests. Meals are mainly buffet style and we take great pride in providing delicious meals at our establishment.
Responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and attractive meals to the guests. Will be responsible for meal planning, employee scheduling, ordering food and supplies, leading staff, and training new staff. Most importantly leading our staff of 10-15 with integrity and skill.
Cleanliness in the dining room and kitchen areas are stressed, as well as friendly and courteous behavior toward our guests. Must be able to handle several tasks at once. General working kitchen conditions with some lifting but not over 30 lbs. This pos...
