About the Role

Seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse at Te Whetu Tawera, Acute Mental Health Unit. This is a full-time leadership role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility to work some PM shifts and participation in the on‑call roster. Based at Auckland City Hospital, centrally located next to the Auckland Domain with good access to public transport.

The Charge Nurse is responsible for managing the systems, processes and resources that enable staff to meet the needs of the patient/consumer/tangatawhaiora in an efficient, effective, and cohesive manner. This includes coordinating the allocation and distribution of clinical and non‑clinical work within the multi‑disciplinary team of Registered Nurses and Mental Health Assistants.
