Summary About the Position: Serves as project manager and technical expert for assigned aspects of the maintenance of channels and harbor navigation projects. Responsibilities Responsible for the design of the maintenance plan of channel and navigation projects. Performs reconnaissance, planning, budgeting, scheduling, environmental coordination, negotiations, scopes of work for the formulation of plans and specifications. Determines the quantity and type of material to be dredged, the preferred and alternate dredge material management and constraints to perform the dredging. Prepares and distributes public notices. Coordinates with responsible local sponsors and interests to ensure that disposal sites, real estate permits, and other necessary local permit requirements are provided.
