Location: Riverhead|Schedule: Full Time 35 hours per week, one weekend day needed, work hours will vary|Salary: $23.63 per Hour


The Opportunity

FCA is seeking a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate for THRIVE, (A Center for Transformation, Healing, Recovery, Inspiration, Validation and Empowerment) Long Island's First Recovery Center.

Responsibilities
+ Implement use of skills/needs assessment instrument with recoverees.

+ Assist in development of individual recovery plans with recoverees and monitor progress.

+ Provide mentoring and identification of obstacles.

+ Match recoverees with available skills and resources.

+ Implement specific programs, groups and activities to meet attendee needs.

+ Recruit and train volunteers.

+ Promote and assist in facilitation of special events.
