Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem




The Lutheran Care Center at Poughkeepsie is currently seeking per diem Occupational Assistants to join our team.



Our rate is now $40.00/hour!



RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Treat all Occupational Therapy patients assigned by the Occupational Therapist. Treatment is to be based on the written treatment plan for each resident. Treatment areas and modalities will include upper extremity function, perception and cognition, ADL, crafts. Work independently or under supervision of the O.T.R.

+ Discuss problems regarding patients and/or treatment with the O.T.R.

+ Write progress notes, as indicated, to be reviewed and countersigned by the O.T.R. Collaborate with O.T.R. on notes when COTA and O.T.R treat patient.

+ Coordinate treatment with O.T.R., physical therapists and nursing staff, where applicable.
