Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified in Basic Life Support and Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) within 6 months of employment
Failure to meet the requirements within the 6 month period will result in termination
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
New Grad <1 year
Surg Tech I =1 year
Surg Tech II = 2-4 years
Surg Tech III = 5+ years
Principal Accountabilities
Demonstrates knowledge and practice of perioperative patient care concepts; demonstrates the ability to perform independently as first scrub in assigned specialty areas.
