Position Overview
Position Summary Assists the day to day operations keeping the health center running efficiently and effectively. Completes triage and patient preparation for the providers. Under the direct supervision of a provider, performs medical and clerical tasks such as medication administration, venipuncture, medical refills, and transcribe orders. Education Certificate of Medical Assistant- Required Experience 1-2 Years - Preferred License & Certification Certified Medical Assistant - Required Core Job Functions SQ and IM medication administration. Triages appropriately with gathering the expected data: weight, height, BP, social/family, medical histories. Medication and allergy reconciliation. Preps exam rooms for in office procedures and assists provider when warranted. Venipuncture and lab specimen processing. Calls patients for normal test results, assists with calls regarding refills.
