Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWAM)
Scope of work of CePSWAM:
Identification and classification of scheduled waste a. Identify waste codes (SW codes) generated on site such as used oil, contaminated containers, chemical waste, paint waste, batteries, oily rags, and spent lubricants. Scheduled waste storage management a. Ensure proper storage area, secondary containment, labeling, segregation, signage, and housekeeping.
b. Monitor storage duration and quantity limits according to DOE requirements.
Documentation and reporting a. Maintain inventory records, consignment notes, waste tracking records, and DOE notifications
(eSWIS system).
Prepare environmental reports and support audits/inspections.
