**Description**

**General Summary**

Inspects, operates, maintains, tests and repairs boilers, cooling towers and associated control and distribution equipment. Performs maintenance and repair on Central Energy Plant associated equipment to include, medical air and vacuum, electric and diesel air compressors, diesel and natural gas fuel systems, water softeners, pumps, motors, chillers, boilers.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Performs operations and maintenance on rotating machinery in accordance with applicable manufactures recommendations, local, state and federal regulations.
+ Observes and interprets reading on gauges and meters which register various aspects of the Central Energy Plant to include boilers and chillers operations.
+ Adjusting controls to ensure safe and efficient operations of the plant meet the demands for utilities.
